COMMUNITY Music classes & Adaptive lessons

Thank you so much for your interest in our community music offerings! We believe that music is for EVERYONE and are committed to accessible and joyful music making for all! Our community groups and adaptive lessons are not closed therapy groups and are open to all members of our community.

What is the difference between music therapy and a community based music class or adaptive lesson?

Our studio-based programs such as Community Music Classes and Adaptive Music Lessons are educational and recreational, not clinical. These classes are open to the community and focus on music learning, creative expression, and inclusion. While instruction may be adapted to meet diverse learning styles and abilities, the purpose is to foster enjoyment, confidence, and skill development through music, rather than to address specific therapeutic goals.

In contrast, our school-based music therapy services are clinically driven and function as part of a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). These sessions are goal-oriented, data-driven, and aligned with each child’s educational and developmental objectives. In this setting, music is used as a therapeutic tool to support progress in areas such as communication, motor skills, attention, emotional regulation, and social interaction, based on documented goals and measurable outcomes.

TOTS & TUNES (Ages 0-5)

Our Tots & Tunes group is a joyful, interactive music class designed especially for toddlers and their caregivers. Led by board-certified music therapists, each session is filled with singing, movement, instrument play, and fun musical activities that support early childhood development.

Through music, little ones will explore:

  • Social skills (taking turns, engaging with peers)

  • Communication and language growth

  • Motor skills (clapping, dancing, playing instruments)

  • Early music concepts (rhythm, melody, dynamics)

Caregivers are active participants too—singing, dancing, and making music alongside their child. No musical experience is needed—just bring your energy and willingness to play!

Join us to make music, build connections, and create lasting memories with your tot.
